Prices falling in 85% of London and South East areas
Zoopla's October 2026 House Price Index shows prices falling in 85% of postcode areas across London and the South East, with London prices 1% lower than a year ago. More homes for sale and fewer sales agreed give buyers more choice.

Prices are now falling in 85% of postcode areas across London and the South East, according to Zoopla's latest House Price Index, published today.
London prices are 1% lower than a year ago, a fall of £5,400 (Zoopla). Across the UK there are 7% more homes for sale than a year ago, while sales agreed are 7% lower.
More choice for buyers means more competition for every listing. On the public portals, each price change is on show. Days on the market, past reductions and the price history follow a home around, and buyers notice.
