More than 3,000 UK homes had their asking price cut every day in September. That's the highest level in 15 years (Rightmove, via BBC News).

The detail matters. The average cut was nearly 7%, or about £21,000. Homes that needed a reduction took around 119 days to find a buyer. Homes that held their first price took 39.

A price cut on a portal is public. Buyers see it, and start to wonder what's wrong, even when nothing is.

Selling a home works differently now. With Hidden Homes, you list privately and verified estate agents compete for the chance to sell it. There are no public listings and no upfront fees, and you stay in control.
